Beatriz Morcillo

A whole life dedicated to dance

Born in Madrid in 1986, Beatriz has a degree in Spanish dance by the Royal Professional Dance Conservatory of Madrid (the best school in the world when it comes to Spanish Dance), where she received training and education for 10 years. Beatriz also has a degree in Spanish Dance Pedagogy by the Dance Conservatory of Madrid, after 4 extra years of education.


At a very early age, due to her innate dancing abilities, she received a full grant from Pedro Azorín for her education in his school. At the age of 10, she received a full grant to study classical dance, by Carmina Ocaña .


Already as a professional, she received a grant to continue her education with Rojas and Rodríguez.


She makes her debut as a professional dancer with the performance of Anthology of Zarzuela and Carmen at the Plaza de Toros Monumental de las Ventas in Madrid, before an estimated audience of 15,000 people. Soloist dancer in the piece from the Bolero School, “Eritaña”, within the show “Anthology of Spanish Dance” by the company of José Luis Moreno.


Former member of the following dance companies: Aída Gómez Spanish Dance Company, Ibérica de Danza directed by Manuel Segovia, ¿Y Por Qué no Danza? directed by Gemma Morado,...


She has performed, among others, on stages such us Classic Roman Theatre Herodes Atticus in the Acropolis in Athens, Albéniz Theatre in Madrid, Euskalduna Theatre in Bilbao, La Latina Theatre in Madrid, Opening Act in Zorrilla Theatre in Valladolid, Gran Teatro in Córdoba…


She has shared the stage with dance stars such as Aída Gómez, Antonio Márquez, Rubén Olmo or Mariano Bernal and with singers like Isabel Pantoja, Paloma San Basilio, Marta Sánchez or David Bisbal. She is currently the artistic director, choreographer and principal dancer in Aire Nuevo Danza. Its first show was the most programmed one in the Circuito de Proximidad Cultural 2012 and a fragment of it was performed in the International Dance Day Gala dancing to the music of the Municipal Simphony Band of Madrid, conducted by the maestro García Asensio.


Recently, she participated as a soloist in the Homenaje en torno a Mariemma, a tribute to celebrate 100 years of this legend’s birth, performing her choreography Granada in the Fernán Gómez Theatre in Madrid, gala that included the participation of Lola Greco, Mayte Bajo and Rafael Amargo among others.


She has combined her more than 10 years of work on stage with her job as a dance teacher. She has being developing students of all ages and levels from amateur to professional dancers. She has imparted Spanish Dance and Flamenco, ballet and contemporary dance masterclasses in prestigious Spanish schools, such as SCAENA (first non-governmental conservatory

in Madrid), Bhakti School directed by Víctor Ullate and Royal Professional Dance Conservatory "Mariemma" of Madrid.
