Heartbeats
Three stories. Three women. The sound of life.
Different stories, different people, different ways of feeling and different goals. Turning points that make everything change temporarily or permanently. The people we cross paths with leave an imprint in our hearts, it is up to us to try to erase it, keep it or take it as a guide for everything we have left to live.
In this 50-minute show, feelings, longings, desires and human relationships are shown, the way in which each person can influence our life and how making a decision or a certain event can change our life completely. Three stories in which, through contemporary Spanish dance, the spectators will be able to see themselves reflected at some point due to the everydayness of the situations and universality of the feelings and themes dealt with.
STORY 1: Two different people, a beautiful encounter that is forging a relationship and at the same time becoming obsessive control and oppression on one of the partners. A possessive and toxic relationship that involves the gradual loss of the victim's freedom, without her being fully aware of it.
“Different heartbeats, ways of being and feeling. A turning point that can make everything change or not, it only depends on us”.
STORY 2: Grief after the loss of a loved one. The process of recomposition after a traumatic event that will hardly be forgotten but with which we have to live.
“Lost, disoriented, not knowing which direction to take, broken. You have left us and it hurts. It hurts not to see you, it hurts to remember you, it hurts that you left before your time and without being able to say goodbye... But I know that you will always accompany me and guide me on my way. You will be with me and in me and I only hope to reach the moment when I get to remember you with a smile on my lips.”
STORY 3: How to a consolidated relationship comes a third heartbeat that will change their lives forever. The announcement of the pregnancy and plans for the future. “You. Me. The two of us. Almost one. Routine, rush, trust, affection, love, life.”
